Generally NBISB is intended for Home use only!. Also the contributor license is a Home use only license. But if you would like to use the Software in educational or commercial environment you must contact the autor to get a special licensing.

If you use NBISB with the free license you will find out that once in a while a balloon tooltip will be displayed and some functionalities will be reduced until the system will be rebooted.
The contributor license disables the balloon tooltip and the functional ristriction. But the contributor license is only a Home use only license!

If you donate at least 6€ and you also provide a valid address in the PayPal description you will get a contributor license. The contributor license is a Home use only license. If no address is provided in the Paypal donation than no contributor license will be sent.

There are 4 different license types available for NBISB. The available license types are:

• Free license: License that is allowed to be used in home environemnt only
• Contributor license: License that is allowed to be used in home environemnt only
• Educational license: License that is allowed to be used in home and educational environment
• Commercial license: License that is allowed to be used in home, educational and commercial environment

The difference between the free license and the contributor license is that the contributor license does not have any restrictions on the functionality of NBISB.

For a educational or commercial license you must contact the author. This licenses are only available on request.

A permisson to distribute NBISB is needed to distribute the software on some media like CD/DVD/BD (or other media like flash memory). In general I do not give permissions for distributions. But you can contact the author and ask for a permission.

Illegal distribution is a violation again copyright laws.

No! The Flying Banana webservice is a well working paid service. Therefore there is no reason storing the software on alternate webspace or server!

For setup it is only necessary to execute the SmartBarSetup.exe. During setup the active account must have administrative permissions. An restricted user account may result in an incorrect setup. For later using of NBISB no administrative account is needed.

There are two possibilities to uninstall NBISB:

1. Control Panel - Add / Remove Software - Select 'Notebook BatteryInfo SmartBar' and click remove
2. The Startmenu folder "Notebook BatteryInfo SmartBar" contains a shortcut called "Remove Notebook BatteryInfo SmartBar". Click on this shortcut.

If you have a personalized NBISB license file, you can use this license file in two ways:

• If NBISB is already installed, you can replace the installed license file 'license.lic' with the personalized NBISB license file in the NBISB application directory. After restarting the application the information stored in the new license file is used by NBISB.
• If NBISB is not installed you can use the personalized license file during the setup. The personalized NBISB license file 'license.lic' and the Setup executable must be placed in the same directory. During the setup the external license file will be detected by the setup and also copied into the application directory. The license file prvided by the setup will also be installed and named 'license_free.lic'. The license file that was in the same folder like the setup executable is installed as 'license.lic'.

Notebook BatteryInfo SmartBar supports two system batteries. The values of both batteries will be displayed.

No, NBISB does not make changes in the Powermanagement settings which has a effect on the Notebook runtime. The user can change the power profile if the SmartBar is displayed and an other profile is selected by the user. NBISB does not make any changes itself.

This message can not be disabled by the user. To disable the balloon tooltip, it is possible to get a contributor license. (More details can be found in Chapter 1.3.)

The free version of NBISB has a few limitations in functionality. After a specific operating system runtime some features of NBISB will be disabled. After a system reboot all features of NBISB will work until the operating sytem runtime is reached again. To disable this behaviour, it is possible to get a contributor license. (More details can be found in Chapter 1.3.)

The source code of NBISB is not available neither complete nor partially.

The Setup of NBISB is made with the Nullsoft Installer 3.08 (NSIS 3.08). Unfortunately some virus scanners detect once in a while a virus or trojan in the setup file. If a result is positive it is recommended to check the result with an other virus scan software. It is also a good idea to report this problem to the software manufacturer of the virus scan software.

Yes, NBISB will be enhanced from time to time. For that all requests of new features will be checked if it makes sense to implement it in a new version.

First check if you can reproduce the problem. You can report this problem as detailed as possible. All additional detailes helps to reproduce the problem!
